In Loving Memory of Roberta Rose Dicey Roberta Rose Dicey, age 89, peacefully passed away July 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a zest for life. Fondly known as Robbie by many, she was born Roberta Mable Dilling in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on October 8,1936, to parents Lillian May Works and John Edgar Dilling. Robbie’s early years were filled with warmth and learning attending Catholic school in Canada. Later, she and her mother moved to Portland, Oregon, where Robbie graduated from Lincoln High School. She was a vibrant soul, modeling women’s clothing and swimwear for local companies, and working as a switchboard operator and in various department stores. Robbie’s heart was dedicated to her family. She married James Dicey, with whom she cherished their two sons. She was deeply committed to her son’s athletic pursuits, volunteering with the PTA, and teaching at children’s vacation bible school. A passionate learner, Robbie loved exploring French Impressionism, art history, and enjoyed painting in her free time. After her divorce, Robbie moved to Santa Barbara, where she worked as an executive secretary, and later settled in San Diego. There, she thrived in the hospitality industry, planning conventions and catering for SeaWorld. Her adventurous spirit then led her to become a water aerobics instructor and a realtor with Caldwell Banker. Robbie’s life was further brightened by her marriage to Ken Feldman, the love of her life. Together, they traveled extensively, sharing twenty-three joyful years of companionship, laughter, and devotion until his passing in 2002. Not long after, Robbie moved to Florida, where she quickly built a warm social circle and continued to enjoy life to the fullest. Eventually, Robbie returned to Oregon to be closer to her beloved family. Her career as a water aerobics instructor and her caring spirit touched many lives. She leaves behind a loving family – Robert and James, daughter-in-law Claudia, and granddaughters Bryanna and Kaylee – who carry her memory with love. Robbie’s incredible warmth, love, and zest for life will forever remain in our hearts. She was a shining example of resilience and joy, inspiring all who knew her.
