Delores Heintzman

Delores Ann Heintzman, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Dec. 2. Dee was born in Hoven, S.D., to Minnie (Rausch) and Ben Kleinemas. She married Martin Heintzman in Gulfport, Miss., on Dec. 23, 1942. They moved to Oregon shortly after the end of World War II, where they started and raised their family. As well as being a homemaker, she worked for Montgomery Ward, Waverly School and in the office of Dr. Harold Hagerty. Dee retired from Linn-Benton ESD in June 1983. Dee was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved her monthly pinochle games with close friends, bowling, bingo and spending time with her family. Dee is survived by her children, Rick Heintzman and wife Barb of Albany, Gary Heintzman and wife Vickie of Lebanon, Linda Hahn of Albany, and Carol Bowers and husband Bill of Albany; grandchildren and great-grandchildren Staci Heintzman-Yutzie and husband Jason, Nicole Heintzman, Aaron Heintzman, Stephanie Bowers, Carol Hahn, Eddie Hahn and wife Kandie, son Brandon and daughter Autumn, and Casey Primasing and daughter Emma; and sisters Jeanette Hoven, Dorothy Ford and Louise Hartung. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Mart; brother Ben; and sister Evie. A recitation of the rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s, followed by a memorial Mass at 11 a.m. A luncheon will be served in the Gathering Place at the church following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Evergreen Hospice.
