Edward Armand Buckley

March 18, 1942 - July 1, 2014

Edward Armand Buckley was born in Anaheim, California on March 18, 1942 and died on July 1, 2014 in Philomath, Oregon. Ed leaves behind his beloved wife, Athena Edwards and her family, his children, Hollie (Gary) Ensminger, Paul (Charlotte) Buckley, Kellie DeeAnn (Neal) Tibbs., his grandchildren, Luke Buckley, Michael Gee, Ryan (Myra) Buckley and Kyle Buckley and his brothers, Douglas and Parker Buckley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sister Betty Hardinger, Brothers Bill, Richard and Rodney Buckley, and his grandson, Aaron Buckley. Ed served honorably in the US Navy and moved to Oregon soon after. Ed was an accomplished guitarist and singer and played the Northwest with his band “The Bee”. He was well known for vocal impersonations of Elvis as well as many other artists. Ed loved all animals and nature and fed the birdies each morning calling them to come for breakfast and feeding them out of his hand. Any critters in the neighborhood knew where they could get a hand out. When Ed was supposed to be out working in the yard, Athena would find him playing with a bug or saving a spider from becoming a birds dinner. Ed always made everyone laugh with his corny jokes and goofy sense of humor. Ed’s Memorial will be held on July 12, 2014 at 4:00 pm at DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home located at 815 NW Buchanan Ave in Corvallis. Donations made be made to Chintimini Wildlife Center or the Heartland Humane Society in his honor.
