BETTY PHELPS FALLIN BRUMMETT September 12, 1937- October 9, 2013 Betty passed away peacefully October 9. She was 86. She was born to Kenneth and Annie Phelps in Summit, Oregon, on September 12, 1927. She graduated from OSU in 1949 with a bachelor's in Pharmacy, but didn't take the state boards for her license until 25 years later after auditing classes for a year. Betty was a pharmacist at Kampfer's Pharmacy in Philomath and Ralph's Drugs in Junction City. Betty married Spec Fallin in 1949. They later divorced. She married Preston Brummett in 1977. She loved her family and watching her grandkids' sporting events, gardening, camping, and her chickens. She was a member of the Blodgett Community Church and Benton County Genealogical Society where she enjoyed exploring her King family roots. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband Preston, parents, brothers Bert and Stan. She is survived by daughter Edie Williams (Bob), sons Doug Fallin (Karry) and Bill Fallin (Carol), 8 grandkids, 11 great grandkids, and 3 great great grandkids, sisters Lois McBeth and Mildred Goolsby, and brother Willie Phelps. Mom will be missed by so many. She was a very kind, gentle, sweet person. If everyone had a little bit of Mom in them the world would be a better place! Her family also want to thank Kelly and Tina at PS We Love Seniors foster care for their compassionate care of Mom. A potluck in Mom's memory for family and friends will be at the Blodgett Community Church Saturday, October 26 from 11-2.
