August 20, 1952 - July 30, 2015
Aug. 20, 1952 — July 30, 2015 Pat Hubler of Corvallis passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 30, 2015. Pat Hubler was born on Aug. 20, 1952, to Darrell Edward and Betty Jean Hubler in Albany. Pat’s education began in Philomath and continued in Albany and Corvallis where he graduated from Corvallis High School in 1970. He attained a degree in business administration while specializing in hotel and restaurant management from Oregon State in 1976. He married Gail Whitmore of Lebanon on May 1, 1977. They raised two wonderful children, DJ (Darrell James) and Brandon Hubler, both graduates of Lebanon High School. Pat was involved in many school-related and civic events in Lebanon over the years and was respected for asking the hard questions no one else would mention. He was an astute businessman, managing food and beverage facilities for most of his life. His heart was always in the family business, Darrell’s Restaurant of Corvallis, from its inception in 1967, through the end of business operations there earlier this year. He became the sole proprietor after the passing of his mother in 2008. He is survived by his wife, Gail; sons DJ (Katy) and Brandon; a beautiful granddaughter, Cora; and brother Michael. Quick with his wit, and a constant source of laughter, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Please join us for a celebration of life for Pat from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Corvallis Elks Lodge, 1400 N.W. Ninth St., Corvallis.. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Benton Hospice.
