Sally Whatley
December 21, 1915 - April 24, 2009
Sally Whatley was joyously welcomed into the arms of our Lord on April 24. She was a gentle woman; a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and a friend to many. Sally lived her life full of love and generosity and with a welcoming heart. Sally and her husband, John, managed the Rolling Green Apartments and were active members of Zion Lutheran Church for many years. Sally was born in Alabama and was a true Southern cook. She made the best fried chicken you would ever want to eat. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, John. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy; son-in-law, Thomas; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and many other dear family members and friends. We love you, Sally, and will miss your sweet smile. We will think of you often, knowing you are happy reunited with the Lord and your many loved ones. Until we are reunited once more A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
