Primo Knight

Primo Eugene Knight, 59, entered eternal rest on August 30, 2026. He was beloved father, brother, and friend. Born in Elyria, Ohio, on October 6, 1966. Primo spent his formative years in Salem, graduating from Salem High School before pursuing engineering at Marietta College. His time at Marietta was filled with cherished memories playing football, lasting friendships, and fraternity bonds that he held dear throughout his life. Primo spent the next several years working in construction, deepening his skills while building new friendships and nurturing old ones. After a nearly fatal accident in Virginia, Primo moved to Oregon. Primo dedicated much of his new career to the Department of Forestry, where he contributed his skills and passion for the environment. His commitment to hard work continued at the Environmental Protection Agency in Corvallis, where he worked diligently as the Facility Operations Manager until his retirement on June 26, 2025. Beyond his professional life, Primo was a man of many passions. He was an active member of the Franklin Christian Church in Junction City and participated in communities that shared his love for boating, riding, and hunting. His hobbies extended to fishing, fixing just about anything, and sharing his faith in Christ while on unforgettable adventures with his friends and family. His love for the great outdoors and the love he had for those around him was only rivaled by his love for Christ which motivated his heart and actions to those he shared time with. Primo carried himself with quiet confidence, a radiant smile, and a generous heart. To those who called him a friend, he was a steady source of laughter, comfort, and help. He brought positivity and practical wisdom to every situation, making others feel valued, supported, and never alone. Primo's life was a testament to the joy of Christ and living fully and the importance of community and relationships. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and the countless memories shared with his close friends from Oregon, his boating, hunting, and riding companions, his Franklin Church family, and the neighbors and friends from Salem, Marietta and Virginia who were touched by his presence. Primo was the cherished son of the late Edwardine Thomas. He is survived by his devoted son, Jayden Knight; his siblings, Cassandra Clunen, Eugenia Calvert (Carl), and Anthony Knight (Tina); his stepfather, Dave Thomas; and many beloved nieces and nephews. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the indelible impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to have known him and his everlasting life with Christ. A service celebrating the life of Primo will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2026, at DeMoss-Durdan Funeral Home in Corvallis, OR.
